My personal ethos is to help clients build good working relationships with fitness and food to have a full and healthy life. I grew up super active with lots of sports and activities. I tore my ACL at the end of high school and loved the rehab process which sent me down the path of athletic training. Then my college years brought me to a question many people can identify with: if I no longer have an athlete identity, what does that mean for a healthy and active lifestyle? I spent years trying all sorts of new activities and loved some more than others - I am a weight lifting, hiking, biking and group fitness fan. This also means I love encouraging others to try new activities and challenging their bodies.

With my other career in Athletic Training –  functional deficits, injury, injury prevention, and mobility is something I love to work on with others. I am passionate about helping people with injuries return to the full, active life they’re missing. We will use a well-rounded approach to get you back on the right track.

I am also a big proponent of anyone, but especially women, lifting weights (heavy ones). It’s great for long term bone and muscle health as well as being something that was socially unapproachable for so long that it’s an area I feel especially strongly about in my personal training practice. I want to empower clients and help them feel more comfortable and confident.

Growing up, sports were a major part of my life. From the age of five all the way until the end of high school, I was competing. The experiences and lessons gained from competing will forever be priceless but my passion towards sports was not nearly as strong as my passion towards understanding reality. I begun studying Biochemistry at Portland State in pursuit of this passion. I became educated on the biochemical processes that occur in all life, which led me down a path to explore how these fundamental processes affect our health. Simultaneously, my enjoyment from physical activity persisted after my time as a high school athlete, as I continued weightlifting, running, and recreational athletics.

Soon enough, my ground up approach to understand the complicated fundamentals of life caught up with my enjoyment of physical activity. Here, I gained a true fundamental understanding to why physical activity is crucial for one’s well-being. I started applying my knowledge of fitness and nutrition to my life, and the results were (and continue to be) amazing.

I obtained my personal training certificate through NASM while continuing my education at Portland State. Soon after I became a fitness instructor taking groups through intense full body work outs. Here, I quickly learned how individuals’ lifestyles can negatively impact their ability to perform movements; which consequently can lead to problems down the road. Hence, my goal as a trainer is to address lifestyle patterns in order to establish a foundation with which we can build a strong house around in order to not only meet your goals but to help you live a more sustainably enjoyable life.

As a youth,  I was very active. I played basketball and baseball in high school.  Loved the competition and teamwork.  But as I got into my twenties, I lost motivation and became sedentary. I would tell myself tomorrow I'll get some exercise but always seemed to find an excuse not to. I became very thin, ate poorly when I ate at all. My self confidence plummeted. I became depressed and reclusive.

It wasn't until a friend of mine forced me to the gym with him that I started to gain some momentum. Soon it became habit, then it became my form of meditation. I wanted other people to experience that same feeling, that satisfaction of pushing myself and reaching my goals. I'd bring family and friends with me and that's when I felt I truly accomplished something, something better than changing myself. I knew that helping people become the best versions of themselves is what I wanted to do.

My passion is to help people on their journey to health and happiness. I believe that everyone has it within themselves to make positive changes, as daunting as it may be at first.

Certified Yoga, Pilates, TRX, KettleBell Instructor

I am originally from Los Angeles but Portland has been my home for almost a decade. I fell in love with dance at an early age and practiced Flamenco and Ballet for several years .

In my teens and into my 20s I struggled with depression and self image. I felt disconnected from my body. Exercise was more a form of punishment to lose weight.

A few years later I discovered Yoga and Pilates which helped me connect with my body in a profound way. When I reentered the gym I had a greater sense of body awareness and my motivation was to become the strongest version of myself.

As a Personal Trainer my mission is to empower you on your own personal journey to gain strength, feel more confident and vibrant in your body!

I have been passionate for health and fitness throughout my life. I was lucky enough to transfer my passion into a career teaching Physical Education and Health. Coaching and teaching is part of my identity, leading me to work primarily in early education. As an  educator and fitness enthusiast, I strive to create positive experiences with movement anytime I work with someone- student or client. I believe we all have our own strength, wisdom, and capacity to heal our bodies. My goal is to help you see that within yourself and to enhance your overall well-being.
My hope is to work on an individualized plan to lead you on a path of wellness and confidence.

I have come to appreciate the importance of mobility through my own experiences over the last few years. During my first year teaching I was experiencing a lot of pain during work and exercise. It took me a while to figure out that this had developed over time with unhealthy movement patterns which created muscle imbalances. After much research and intentional, correctional exercises I am now able to exercise pain free. Because of my personal experience I have come to value mobility and the power it has to heal injuries, limit risk of injury and enhance strength building.
I have extensive experience in developing plans and programs for movement that allow you to reach your fitness goals. I am looking forward to working together.

BS, Athletic Training/Sports Medicine

Raised in a family of two athletic brothers, a surfing mom, and a champion powerlifting dad, I was destined for a lifetime of athletics and wellness. I was encouraged to try all sports, and learned to train specifically very early in life. My free time was spent at the beach and on concrete basketball courts. The latter led to five knee surgeries and a crash course in sports medicine. A short stint in college football was mostly spent in the training rooms as a trainer, and patient. I've endured a dizzying array of injuries and illnesses, but I've successfully rehabbed myself through and come out stronger. Fully familiar with the health issues that have arisen in the past few years, I'm here to find you a path to strength, movement, mobility, and flexibility- which you can follow for years to come. I'm new to the PNW, I coparent an eight-year-old boy, Xavier, a dog, Baccy, and I enjoy photography.

Crazily enough, fitness was never always my thing. I was never the “star athlete” growing up. I was out of shape, overweight, and had absolutely zero knowledge about fitness or nutrition. Until one day, I was tired of it and did something about it. The journey wasn’t easy though. I ended up making every single possible mistake you could think of when it came to working out and dieting. Fast forward 12 years later and today I’m an avid pizza connoisseur, margarita lover, and I enjoy anything that involves sunshine and the beach… I am excited to help you sustainably build lean muscle, shed unwanted fat, and get incredibly strong.
So that you can move better and use your body to live life, feel better and healthier to do the things you’ve always wanted to do, and look better and feel confident in your own body

It won’t be an easy process. Nothing worth having, like your health and fitness, ever comes easy. With that said, I’ll be there to support and keep you accountable every step of the way, but prepare to work the hardest you’ve ever worked and expect to accomplish so much more than you ever thought was possible.

I am a 35 year old mother of three wonderful girls, a second degree black belt in TaeKwonDo and a cancer survivor. I was a cheerleader, wrestler, and I have experience in dance. I started taekwon do when I was 11 with my family, something we all still do together. That is where I fell in love with exercise and teaching other people. TaeKwonDo is all about knowledge, helping others and sharing what you know. It allowed me to start teaching other students around me and learn from others at a young age.
Being a mother has taught me to accept changes to my body and be ok with that and work around these changes. To manage time, and know that me time is important to my mental and physical health.

At the age of 34 I was thrown a HUGE curveball and was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. My life and my plans were completely derailed. I choses to look at the bright side of it, I had been fit my whole life and for the first time ever I was sick and weak. I learned how to listen to my body, I had to gain back muscle and endurance. I want to take my experience and help others learn that you can do anything you put your mind to. That there are people who can help
them all you have to do is ask. Walking through that door and making a commitment to getting fit and getting healthy is half the battle.

Hailing from Milwaukee Wisconsin, my journey into health and wellness started as a junior in high school with my own personal weight loss journey. After battling with obesity and all of the ups and downs along the way, I was able to really discover what health means to me, and through it I developed a strong passion for helping people find out what it could mean for them! I spent two years as a trainer at Planet Fitness and had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients making it a very memorable learning experience for me. I strive to live by and train through three important ideas; understanding, patience and consistency. I believe in developing healthy, practical, and sustainable lifestyle habits to help my clients achieve their goals and make their dreams come true!

Originally from Canada, I ended up in Oregon by way of University of Oregon and a career in archaeology. I never considered myself athletic, coordinated, or physically strong; Gyms were an intimidating place to be and while my career required me to be fit, I didn't consider strength training to be "for me". After starting and falling in love with roller derby, I began strength training to improve my game and prevent injuries. Building strength and athleticism was a life changing but tough journey. I decided to become a personal trainer in order to help others overcome their feelings of intimidation to build strong capable bodies.
